I started keeping a journal, of sorts, when I arrived at Moose Factory in August, 2002. Sometimes I would offer many thoughts. Often I’d go for weeks without adding a thing. I look back and realize that some of my observations are astute. Many were not. For what it’s worth, then, these were my thoughts. All of this material is included at this site, under the Category of “Moose Factory Journal”.
The postings with dates up through 2008 are from the “Moose Factory Journal”. I returned to the States in August of 2008.
In December 2009 I began to write again. In order to share some of my stuff started up another blog, “Scribbles”. That series of reflections continues into this blog. Some of the material has been written for the Newsletter at St. Dunstan’s. That material is llisted under the Sub-Category of “Turning Point”.
In late November, 2010, I returned to the North for an extended visit. Some of my reflections during this sojourn are listed under the Sub-Category of “Mistissini Journal” — again, under that more general Category of “Scribbles”. This time I went to Mistissini, Quebec. I had been there before — in 1973, when I was passing through with a Wabun Section on the way to Eastmain.
